The El Limonar Complex
El Limonar de Mijas Golf is nicely situated alongside the third tee of the Los Lagos course.
Unusually for a recently built complex it is at the bottom of a hill, not stuck right
on the top of one!
The apartment design is light and airy, and as the building layout is in one long line none of
the apartments are overlooked by their neighbours. This means that many of the terraces are very private if you
wish for some seclusion.
The lush gardens are well tended by our two resident janitors, Román and David. They have been
employed by the community since the very start and they take great pride in the appearance of the whole
community area.

Román is very proud of the fact that the swimming pool is always spotlessly clean and we receive
many favourable comments from guests about this.
On one side of the building is the Los Lagos golf course, many of the apartments have stunning
views of the first three holes. The ground floor apartments, and those on the first two floors at the top end of
the complex - portals 7,8 & 9 - have limited golf views, but still have great views over the
gardens. This is due to the fact that the course is on a raised level, about equal to the first floor
balconies.
The other side of the building looks out over fruit trees and an unworked olive grove. The views
stretch all the way up towards the white mountain village of Mijas and the mountains beyond.
All apartments have access to underground parking for security and safety. Lifts lead directly
to each floor from the garage area.
Within a five minute walk there are two taxi pickup points. One outside the 5 star Byblos Hotel
(unfortunately closed at the moment awaiting new owners) and one outside the Matchroom, which also has a popular
bar for evening entertainment.
Also within a few minutes drive are two small supermarkets open seven days a week from 9am to
9pm, and which sell newspapers, milk, bread, and all those little essentials that seem to run out at
the most inconvenient time!
There are six restaurants within a ten minute walk ranging from cheap (12 euros a head
including wine!) to 5 star (expensive but still less than the equivalent in the UK)
And if you want to drive or take a taxi your choice is almost endless. You wouldn't get to all
of them if you ate out every night for a year!
